EXPANDING YOUR TRADITIONAL RESUME

What will you add to your “Education History?” (College experience will go
here. Pick your “Top College and add it to the list, if you plan to do community college and a university, or
community college and a trade school, list that information here.)

Name of School: Brooks College

Location of School: Brooks, New York

Degree Earned: Masters

What will you add to your “Work Experience?” (Think about where you’d
want to work for a part-time job in high school and/or college; will you do a work-study program in college?)

Place of Employment: Dance Choregrapher

Description of Job: I would make up dances to a song(s) and/or do a cover of a song(s)

What will you add to your “Volunteer Experience?” (Remember, this

looks REALLY good to future employers! Think of at least two types of volunteer work you could do.)

Where will you volunteer: Library

What you do there? I would stack books or do anything I could around the library.
Where will you volunteer: At A homeless shelter

What you do there? Help the homeless and cook some food

What extracurriculars did you get involved in when when you

were in college? OR What new hobbies/interests have you
developed? (Think about what you’d like to do one day. You may want to refer back to the “Student
Life” section in Career Cruising to get some information about what options you have.)

Im involved in karate, I have physical hobbies like sports and fitness

How will your Career Objective change? (Remember, it should be focused on

your Top Career. The objective you wrote in Career Cruising was VERY broad. Now, you want to narrow it
down so it matches the specific job you want).
It would change by the way I view it. One semester I may be like
‘I wanna do dance to be fit!’ and the other semester be like
‘Dance has a whole meaning to it..not just fitness’
