Create Info Cube from Flat File

1. Crate Flat File Source System

Go to Data Warehousing Workbench: Modelling (tcode: /nRSA1) Go to Source System
right click  select create

Select flat file system  click Continue button

Enter Logical name and long name of the flat file source system you want to create
 click continue button

Flat File Source System created

Flat file source system can be created directly by right click on File  create
2. Crate Info Area:
2.1 Create Info Area:

Now go to Info Object  right click on info object  select create info area

Enter Info Area Logical name and Long description  click continue button

Info area is created

2.2: Crate Info Object Catalog

2.2 A: Crate Info Object Catalog (CHAR. Catalog)

Right click on the created info area and select create info object catalog

Enter Info Object Catalog (char.) logical name and description  select Char. Radio
button  click continue button
Characteristic info object catalog created  activate this

NEXT STEP: Create Info Object (on CHAR. Catalog)

Right click on created Characteristics Info Object Catalog select Create Info
Object (to create new info object)
To use / add existing info objects: right click on Characteristics  select info object
direct input

Select Info Objects from drop down menu  click continue button (here I have
selected 3 characteristics: location, version and material)
ACTIVATE THIS
2.2B: Crate Info Object Catalog (KEY FIGURE CATALOG)

Select created Info Area  right click  select Create Info Object Catalog

Enter Key Figure Info Object Catalog logical name and description select Key
Figure radio button  click continue button
Key Figure Info Object Catalog created

Activate this

NEXT STEP: Create Info Object (ON KEY FIGURE CATALOG)

Right click on created key figure info object catalog  click Create Info Object (to
create new info object)
To use the existing info object from the system: right click on key figure  select
Info Objet Direct Input

Select the key figure info object  click continue button

Activate this

3. Crate Data Source

3.1 Create Application Component

Go to Data Source  File  select the Flat File Source System created
Select Data Source for Flat File Source System  right click  Select Create
Application Component

Enter application component logical name and long description  click continue
button

3.2: Create Data Source (on the application component created)

Right click on the created application component  click create data source

Enter data source logical name  click continue button

In data source general tab strip: enter short description, medium description and
long description of the data source go to exaction tab strip
In extraction tab strip: browse the excel file saved in .csv format  enter the
number of header to be ignored from excel document  select data format
separated with separater  enter data separator (,)  go to proposal tab strip
In the proposal tab strip: click on Load Example Data button  go to Field tab
strip

In the Field tab strip: enter info objects in the info object column  press enter 
these objects will be copied in the Field column

Save and activate

 4. CREATE INFO CUBE

Go to Info Provider  select Info Area created right click  select Create Info
Cube
ENTER Info Cube Logical name and long description  click continue button in
the choice of BW Application dialog box I select APO, as this is an APO info cube.
Click Info Object Catalog button to add char. And key figure in the info cube

Double click on char. Info object catalog

Select all characteristic info objects and drag and drop to Dimension

Again click info object button  double click on key figure info objects
Right click on time  select info object direct input
Select 0CALMONTH  press enter  click continue button
Save and activate

Right click on the created info cube  select Create Transformation

Select Object Type from drop down menu  enter data source name  select
source system from drop down menu  click continue button
Save and activate the transformation right click on Data Source  click create
Info Package

Enter info package description  click save

Go to schedule tab strip  click start button

Right click on data source  click Manage

Green light show that it is successful

Next right click on data source and create dtp

After successful run, data will be populated in info cube
