egyszerre végrehajtania nagyon rövid idő (kevesebb mint 60 másodperc) alatt, így
például a hallásimondatterjedelem÷tesztben (vö. Janacsek et al. 2009).
A fonológiai rövid távú emlékezet (fonológiai hurok, fonológiai RTM) egy beszéd-
alapú átmeneti tároló. A központi végrehajtót csak kismértékben terheli (Németh–
Pléh 2001; Racsmány et al. 2005). Két alrendszer építi fel. Az egyik egy passzív fo-
nológiai bemeneti tár, egy rövid idejű tároló, ún. belső fül, amely 2÷3 másodpercig
képes megőrizni a hallott információt. A másik egy aktív artikulációs ismétlő, fris-
sítő kontrollfolyamat, azaz egy belső hang. Az artikulációs kontrollfolyamat segít a
vizuálisan érkező írott input fonológiai kóddá alakításában, mely azután szintén
bekerülhet a fonológiai kimeneti tárba (2. ábra). A fonológiai RTM tárolórészének
neuroanatómiai alapját a Brodmann 40, a szubvokális ismétlő rendszerét pedig a
Brodmann 6 és 44 területek adják, melyből utóbbi a Broca÷területtel tűnik kapcso-
latban állónak (Gathercole 1999; Baddeley 2003).
