Final Project Guidelines

Target Cos:
Final Project Component

final project is equivalent to 30% of the FINAL Class standing.

Final Project Break Down:

Final Project Grade = 60% Prototype + 30% Documentation + 10% Oral Presentation

Oral Presentation Documentation Contents:

Ability to Answer Question: 50% Title Page –
Delivery: 40% Objectives – 10%
Table of Contents
Visual Aids: 10% Problem Statement – 10%
Circuit Design – 10%
Prepare a powerpoint presentation for your defense. Constraints and Trade-offs – 40%
Observe best practices in powerpoint presentations. Results – 20%
Task Assignment/Distribution of Group Members – 5%
The group is only given 20 minutes maximum to present. Individual Reflection Paper about the Final Project – 5%
Note: Final Project in Soft Bound
Use Engineering Lettering Font for Documentation. Save the file as pdf before printing to avoid formatting issues.

DOCUMENTATION
Title Page
The title page must have:
a. school name and address
b. title of the project (eg. Design and development of a 12 V power supply)
c. 1 x 1 picture of group members with name tag
d. instructor’s name (eg. Engr. Dennis Jefferson A. Amora, MEng)
e. subject information ( eg ECE 324)
Objectives:
a. at least 3 objectives that your final project wish to accomplish ( eg. Achieve 12% regulation….)
Problem Statement
The problem scenario of your assign project that you want to solve. (eg. What are the expected output of the
simulation of your project? )
Constraints and Trade-offs
What are the constraints and trade off of your design
What factors that you consider in designing or building your project
What are the factors that you sacrifice in order to achieve the objective of your project?
Design
1. Block diagram of the circuit
2. Schematic diagram
3. Specifications
4. How the circuit works

Results
Provide a screenshots of your output simulations. Explain what the output means.
Task Assignment/Distribution of Group Members
Create a table to present what are the assigned tasked or contribution of each members in the completion of the final
project.

Reflection Paper
This is individual. Every group member must have a reflection paper regarding the final project. They may share if they
had meet the Cos of the course. They may share how the project may help them in future endeavours.
