COACHES MESSAGE

Dear Dancers and Families of Dancers,

My name is Jonathan Romero, and I am pleased to introduce

myself as Del Campo’s new Head Dance Team Coach. I graduated
from Granite Bay High School in the year 2018, and am currently
attending Sacramento State University while majoring in Interior Design
with a focus on Interior Architecture. Starting dance at age nine was a
forced decision based on my parents and since then I have loved every
minute of my dancing career. I have had the amazing opportunity to
have my choreography showcased in multiple Dance Shows,
Showcases, Rally Performances, and Half-Time performances.
Furthermore, I currently dance on a Pre-Professional Dance Company
name Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre based in Folsom, CA.
I also teach at many local Dance Studios such as KM Dance Arts, River
City Dance Academy, and Precision Dance Center. In addition, I work
closely with Granite Bay High School’s Dance Program.

As the new Head Dance Team coach of Del Campo High School,
I will strive to provide every Dancer with an equal opportunity to
showcase their talents and abilities to their peers and audiences. As
Dance Team Coach, I hold each one of my Dancers to the highest
standard, which means each Dancer respecting themselves, respecting
their Coach and Guest Choreographers, and respecting their peers.
Dancers are responsible for presenting themselves as respectful, kind-
hearted individuals, as every moment and action is a direct
representation of the Dance Team. My goal for this team is for it to be a
direct representation of school spirit and involvement at Del Campo
High School, and the community surrounding it.

Dancers, remember that each and every day is an opportunity to

positively impact someone’s life, whether through your performance,
your character, or even a mere conversation. Time is ticking and your
High School years will be over before you know it. Without a doubt, this
Dance Team will be a large part of your memory of your High School
Career so, let’s make it count. Just remember, the best dancers are
always humble dancers. Go Cougars!
Respectfully yours,

Jonathan Romero
