SUPREME STUDENT GOVERNMENT


CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

Article I – Name
This club shall henceforth be known as Supreme Student Government (SSG).
Article II – Purpose
The SSG serves as the governing bodies of the students, it will provide students the
opportunity to develop their leadership skills, learn the different characteristics of a good
leader that our community needs now a days. The organization promotes equality, respect the
rights of others, proper management and submission to the authority. This organization also
helps the institution in decision making that may affects the students as whole. Aside from
that it will serve as the voice of students in their different concern that address to the
institution.
Article III – Membership
Officers of this organization will be selected by the means of election. The students
get the higher votes from different position will serve for one school year. He/She cannot run
in same position for next school year in order to give chance for other aspirants.
Section I
Every 3rd week of June up to 1st week of July is the time for election of officers
3rd week of June will be filling of candidacy
4th week of June election campaign
1st week of July election of officers
Section II
The school will select the competent students that will serve as the Election
Committee
Section III
There should be two parties in every section; each party should have complete line up
(President, Vice President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer,
Auditor, Public Information Officer (PIO), Business Manager, 2 representatives per year
level)

Article IV – Officers

The elected officers of this organization will serve for one school year, and can run
for next school year election provided that they will run for other position.
Article V – Committees
This organization shall be empowered to appoint committees when needed or desired.
Article VI – Meetings
At least one organizational meeting shall be held each month. Additional meetings
may be called. All members will be notified in advance of each meeting. Except when
specific exception is made, meetings shall only be open to members or prospective members
and their guests.
Section I
The meeting should be presided by the President in the absence of the President, then
the Vice President will preside.
Section II
Any decisions that the officers will have should always be voted among the group.
Section III
The secretary together with the assistant secretary will make sure that they have a
minutes of the meeting.
Article VII – Financial Records
Financial records will be kept by the treasurer and stored by a faculty sponsor. All
financial records are subject to audit by AIFCP – HS Principal/HS faculty members.
Article VIII – Records
The secretary of the Supreme Student Government should make a yearly
documentation that includes the liquidation, and activities that the Supreme Student
Government sponsored.
Article IX – Amendments to the constitution
Amendments to the constitution are to be read at two regular meetings of the club or
organization prior to the vote. Adoption requires a 2/3 majority of the membership and
approval by the Administrative Committee.
Article X – Bylaws
The bylaws of this club are to be established and changed as necessary, while always
remaining consistent with the commitments of Agro High School and the constitution of this
club.
Article XI – Bylaws, sub-Article I – Budget, Funds, Dues, Finances, Etc.
Dues shall be five pesos per meeting and ten pesos for registration, payable prior to
the attendance of any sports club sponsored activity other than a club meeting. Allocation of

the club monies will be done by simple majority vote of those members in attendance while
always remaining consistent with the club constitution and bylaws.
Article XII – Bylaws, sub-Article II – Meetings and Planned Activities
All club members will be notified at least one week in advance of each meeting.
Subject to funding, club activities shall be determined at the meetings by simple majority
vote of those members in attendance. Meetings will be held inside or outside the classroom
unless otherwise announced.
Article XIII – Bylaws, sub-Article IV – Officers
Elected officers will under normal circumstances serve for a full year, and may be re-
elected, but any officer who is impeached, resigns, graduates, or withdrawals from school
may be replaced by holding a mid-year election. Lack of interest in the organization as
evidenced by repeated absences from meetings or failure to perform designated duties shall
constitute grounds for impeachment of any officer. A 2/3 majority vote of the members in
attendance shall be required to impeach.
The officers of this club shall consist of a president, vice-president, and a secretary-
treasurer, and their duties are those customary to these positions. The president will organize
and chair club meetings. The vice-president will assist the president, perform presidential
duties in the absence of the president, and will submit a list of new officers to the Director of
Campus Activities immediately following any election. The secretary-treasurer will keep the
club’s current membership list and financial records, and will publicize meetings and other
club activities.
