Importance of Studying English for Academic and Professional
Purposes

We all know that English is an international language and it is also

learnt as the principal foreign language in most schools in countries.
The K-12 program of Department of Education propose this subject
English for Academic and Professional Purposes in order to be the
preparation of the students in college ad in their future job. So what is
English for Academic and Professional Purposes?
According to Merriam Webster English for Academic and Professional
Purposes entails training students usually in higher education setting to
use language appropriately for study. It is one of the most common
forms of English for Specific Purposes. This program enables the
student to develop their skills required to perform English-speaking
academic context across core subject. This program may also include a
more narrow focus on the specific linguistic demands of a particular
area of study.
The importance of studying this subject this would be their starter
pack or a step for them and it could also be their training ground. So
that in their future it would not be too hard for them to catch up and
adapt with their environmental study. It could also be their time to
develop their skills in making some stuff like writing poems, stories and
other kinds of literature to express their feelings. It could also be a
medium for communication in order for them to share their ideas and
thoughts. They would be able to communicate effectively.
I can conclude that studying English for Academic and Professional
Purposes is essential for us because t can develop various skills namely
in communication, writing literature and it have something to do with
our grammar.
 My Most Unforgettable Activity

Everyone have the most unforgettable or memorable experience in

life, in family, in school, in loved once or special someone. But the
tasked that was given to us was to share about the Most Unforgettable
Activity. In order for me to deliver this essay I would recall all the stuff
that we did in this subject. What made this activity Unforgettable for
me?
For me the most unforgettable activity that I was experienced was
the reporting. For me this is the most unforgettable activity. You would
ask me why? You would wonder that reporting is easy?
Why? It is because it was the first time that we group and shyness is in
our selves. We don’t know each other well. In order for us to deliver
our reporting very well we introduce ourselves to be able to eradicate
awkwardness and shyness. As the days past by shyness and
awkwardness were gone. We are now comfortable with each other and
comfortably share and suggest what could be the best for our
reporting. Reporting was never been easy for me it is because it was
the first time that I would be talking in front of my classmates and also
my teacher. It would not be possible without the help of our group
leader Ms. Roselyn Rioferio because she lead us very well in order for
us to deliver the topic that was given to us. And the outcome was really
good. We give each other a high five to a job well done.
This is the most unforgettable activity that I experience in this subject
and in my first year as a Senior High school Student. It is true that
teamwork is the key to success. We cannot accomplish all that we need
to do without working together. I’ve also learned that I can do things
that they cannot and they can do things I cannot and as we help each
other we can do great things.
 Most Challenging Topic

Challenges in life everyone has challenges in life whether in their

homes or at school they all go through a challenge one point in their
lives. Challenges are what make life interesting overcoming them is
what makes them.So I will share my own experience. We were tasked
to create an essay about the topic most challenging topic we had.
These past few days I am thinking what was the most challenging topic.
I’ve decided.
For me the most challenging topic we had was the review. I am really
confused with this one. I can’t understand it very well way as far as I
remember I am asking my classmate what to do with this. I didn’t
understand so she teach me how to make one it take me an hour to
understand this. I asked one of my classmate to checked if it is correct
she noticed two of my mistake. She explained the topic furthermore for
me to understand it very well. She teach me to write the review
properly which one would be the first second and so on. The next
review we had I got 29 out of 30 so I was really glad that time because I
only had 1 mistake. I thank my classmate who teach me that time.
Overcoming challenges in life is one of the most wonderful feeling.
You will not grow if you will stay on your comfort zone try to challenge
yourself it teach you and can overcome more and more challenges. We
don’t grow when things are easy, we grow when we face challenges.
When your life get though and a lot of challenges is in your way don’t
give up and call for help. When you face difficult times, know that
challenges are not sent to destroy you. They’re sent to promote,
increase and strengthen you.
 Summary of My Experience

In English class this year, I have experienced new, interesting and

useful skills and numerous other things. During this year, I have felt like
I can work productively, but relaxed all most stages. I have grasped the
many opportunities to absorbs knowledge this year, and our teacher is
the cause of all this. Me, my teacher, and the whole class in general has
been amazing experience, learning all together. Our teacher has used
countless techniques to keep us engaged at all times, but the very
amazing part, she just met at once a week but she finished discussing
our topic for this semester.
Getting lots of paper hand outs, I find myself doing work about
grammar. Being quite pleased with my knowledge about this, our class
had a great time with a lot of knowledge in our mind. Being a student of
Ma’am Dara is a pleasure for me because she really works hard for us
to learn a lot of things to be prepared in our future someday. She is the
one you can conclude a working hard teacher. She is a role model
we’ve learned a lot of things from her. Like how to identify facts and
opinions and etc. she deliver our lesson very well. She noticed all of
your mistakes and correct it which is good. Even if it is small or big
things she will always correct your work. Sometimes small things can
make the big things.
English class this year has been great. My teacher has been engaging
all times and I never gave up! My whole class has been working greatly
and been helpful. Yet another satisfying and outrageous year in
English.
