Project: GIS Based Delimitation of National Assembly & Provincial Assembly Boundaries for Punjab Province
Scope of Work: A Geo-spatial planning approach is used to preliminary delimitate the boundaries of 36 Districts of Punjab
Province. These boundaries are marked on the basis of Mauza (Villages) and Patwar Circles, terms used in Revenue.
Responsibilities: Attend meetings with Deputy Directors & Revenue officers. Collection & integration of accurate data from
Local Govt Department, Revenue Department. Primary data that is gathered first-hand such as through field survey
(Scanning of Revenue Records) and Remote Sensing and Preparation of analysis report and mapping.

Project: GIS Based Identification of Encroachment by Housing Societies in Forest Region of Murree, Kahuta & Kotli Sattain
Tehsils of Rawalpindi District
Scope of Work: A Geo-spatial planning approach is used to assess & priorities the forest boundaries and find encroachment
in forest as a third party on the request of Commissioner’s Rawalpindi while Supreme Court of Pakistan had bans new
development in three tehsils of Rawalpindi on 18-October 2017.
Responsibilities: Collection & integration of accurate data from Forest Department, Revenue Department & Rawalpindi
Development Authority. Identification of encroachment in the preserved forest by the housing societies. Parcel counting of
Built-up areas in three tehsils of Rawalpindi including Murree, Kahuta & Kotli Sattian.

Project: Punjab Spatial Strategy (PSS)

Scope of Work: To determine the administrative boundary of Punjab Province at Mauza level. A spatial planning approach
is used to assess & priorities economic, social and environmental objectives. It provides a framework for rationalizing &
sequencing public investment through a spatial lens, Data collection & GIS Analysis, Core Strategy Development, Spatial
Economic Development Framework.
Responsibilities: Preparation of maps, analysis, interpretations of map and Built-up area extraction of the Punjab province
using Landsat 8 satellite image dataset.

Project: Boundary Delineation of Miani Sahib Graveyard & Identification of Encroachment in Graveyard
Scope of Work: Graveyard boundary delineation through GPS survey & also demarcated from aerial survey sheets of Mauza
Mozang in which graveyard situated. Identify Khasra numbers in which encroachment & illegal occupant was found in
graveyard.
Responsibilities: Resource and GIS management for all data processing, Preparation of GPS field survey plan for boundary
delineation, Support in digitization of Khasra numbers of graveyard, identify those Khasra’s where encroachment & illegal
occupant found.

Project: Third Party Validation (Flood Damage Crop Monitoring)

Scope of Work: Third party validation of flood affected crops (Cotton & Rice) in 16 Districts of Punjab. The Urban Unit
ensure the validity of the survey. The Urban Unit intention in mapping improve upon the goal of helping Pakistan's
reputation in the coordinates was to ensure that the needy as per extent of development sector has been government
authorities and relief damage and implement their relief efforts in transparent systems.
Responsibilities: Primary data that was gathered from SUPPARCO such as Remote Sensing data. Identify those Khasra’s
where crops were damaged & linked it with database provided by PDMA in which all details given of that Khasra number.
Project: Land Record Management Information System (LRMIS)
Scope of Work: LRMIS project was developed for the Board of Revenue, Government of Punjab. Actually, Government
started computerization of land records with overall objectives to improve service delivery and to enhance the perceived
level of tenure security.
Responsibilities: Supervisor + Team Leader Downloading base maps, digitization and parcel mapping, attribute entry and
maintaining file based Geo-Databases. Conversion of data to appropriate classes. Attribute entry in domain of Geo-
Database.

Project: Neighborhoods Watch Projects (Police stations boundary demarcations Lahore)

Scope of Work: PS Maps for Neighborhood Watch Project
Responsibilities: Management of GIS databases of Lahore city parcels. Conduction of survey through survey Sheets.
Preparation of maps, analysis and interpretations of map.

Project: Punjab Cities Governance Improvement Projects (PCGIP)

Scope of Work: Strengthening the institutional capacity and service delivery of local governments provide PCGIP is a USD
150 million, five-year results-based project. The PCGIP has evolved from a comprehensive urban sector dialogue between
the World Bank and the provincial government over the last several years.
Responsibilities: Preparation of maps, analysis and interpretations of map. WASSA Assets Management (Digitize Drains,
Sewerage & water Lines). Providing support to the GIS lab area. Management of GIS databases of Lahore, Faisalabad &
Gujranwala parcels. Interpreting and communicate technical data to non-technical colleagues and clients.

Project: Flood Damage Assessment (FDA)

Scope of Work: To estimate the cultivated area & assets that were affected during flood at Khasra level.
Responsibilities: Field survey with the help of GPS, Scan revenue record (Musavees) of mauza level (the basic level revenue
boundary). Preparation of analytical reports.

Project: Assets Management of Pakistan Railways Land by GIS Based Computerization and
Development of Data Base Software for MIS
Scope of Work: Illegal encroachment assessment of Railway land.
Responsibilities: Resource and GIS management for all data processing supervise technical staff, prioritizes and assigns
their work and evaluates their performance. Support in digitization and updating of shape files and other GIS datasets.
Stitching Musavees, & GeoRef for extracting Railway record & Railway land. Digitize satellite parcels for surveying.

Project: Urban Immoveable Property Tax (UIPT)

Scope of Work: Identify the buildings, houses that were not paying taxes regularly and provide reports to Excise
Departments for enhancing the tax net circle.
Responsibilities: Parcels digitization of District Gujranwala and Lahore. Survey of maps verification and geocoding of Lahore
UIPT circles.

Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Ltd | Internee |

Responsibilities: Development of Geographical Information System (GIS) maps of natural gas distribution network and
transmission pipelines. Planning, survey and design of new transmission pipeline system, distribution supply mains and
augmentation of existing transmission / distribution system.

Final Project During Masters: Geographical information system Enable for new polling station.
Managing elections for the most populous county in the Pakistan is a complex and year-round job. In this project we use
GIS not only for drawing precincts but also for managing census, street and district data associated with election activities
and for efficiently managing logistics for its workers. "The voter landscape is constantly changing in any urban area.
Voters are moving into an area or they are moving out, and new voters are coming of age all kinds of things are
happening—which means that all that voter registration activity collides with the address data, changing the way precinct
and district boundaries need to be drawn. For the Registrar of Voters, boundary management is a continuous process of
collecting new information and responding to it." Polling place recruitment is another process that takes place months
in advance. With this Web application, uses high-resolution aerial imager. It helpful for Election Commission of Pakistan
for finding best places for polling station in urban area. Number of booths calculation are very easy due to register voters
along ang polling station.
