Dual Mode Operations

Memory protection: Memory is protected by partitioning the memory into pieces. While running in
user mode, the CPU can only access some of these pieces

CPU protection: CPU usage is protected by using the timer device and used by scheduler. While running
in user mode, the CPU cannot change the timer value or turn off the timer, because these require
privileged operations.
