 About Us
Established in Year 1988, Kumpulan Abex (KABEX) Sdn Bhd is one of the pioneering
home grown companies then in Malaysia to focus in Photonics products and solutions. In view
of the growing trends and requirements in the field of security and building automation for
commercial sector, another division was dedicated a few years later to focus businesses in the
provision of solutions for building security and automation.
Over the years, we have built up a strong database with a wide variety of products to
meet the local market demands as well as overseas. In order to fulfill the ever growing needs
and requirements, our company has never stopped sourcing for new potentials and products as
well as meeting with manufacturers and suppliers who can meet our customers’ requirements
and able to cooperate with us.
Now, we are also proud to be certified as Service Centers for two (2) well known
manufacturers which is SUMITOMO ELECTRIC INDUSTRIES LTD and EXFO INC respectively.
KABEX has invested in setting up a calibration and repair laboratory to provide fine adjustment
and inspection of various optical instrument and fibre jointing (Fusion Splicer) equipment for
local customer.
Our service centres received certification from our principals, SUMITOMO Electric,
JAPAN on jointing equipment and EXFO Inc, CANADA on fibre optic instrumentation. The
facility is audited by our principals annually to achieve high accuracy and to meet the
manufacturer’s standard.
With more than 20 years of experience complete with a team of experienced staff, KABEX
is still active in product/equipment procurement, installation and service provider to various
higher learning institutions / universities, government sectors, property developer, consultancy
firms and telco contractors with strong business ties with various overseas business partners.

We have a team of committed and persistent staff dedicated to serve all of our valued
customers to ensure that we can fulfill your every needs and requirements.

 In-house Training Facilities

KABEX offers product demonstration as well

as product trainings for our customers. The
demonstrations and trainings can either be done at
the customer’s office, at site as well in-house.

Currently, we have 2 Training Rooms in our

office, WISMA ABEX which can accommodate
about 20 – 30 people depending on the seating
arrangements and the training needs.

All product demonstrations and trainings are

conducted by our own technical staff which have
been specially trained by our principals. From time
to time, we do invite our principal’s technical
personnel to conduct the trainings on our behalf.
