STRUCTURAL EVALUATION/ ANALYSIS (PUSH OVER ANALYSIS):-

Evaluation is complex process, which has to take not only the design of building but
also the deterioration of the material and damage cause to the building, if any.
The safety and serviceability assessment of RC structure should account for the time
dependent variation of the structural response due to degradation phenomena. Actually,
the increasing deterioration of concrete as well as the progressive corrosion of reinforcing
bars may usually lead to significant changes in the safety coefficient, with respect to both
ultimate and service limit states. The key concept lies in the fact that the loadings standard
and materials standard are common to both of them; however, these standards are suitably
modified to account for the present-day strength of materials and the remaining useful life.
The consequence of evaluation of any building should be quantitatively evaluated for
its effectiveness from the viewpoints of strength, stiffness & ductility.
The structure analyze below is “PCMC’s Sudarshan Health Club” which is situated at “
Bhoir Colony, Deoghar Society, Chinchwad, Nigdi, Pimpri Chinchwad under Pimpri Chinchwad
Municipal Corporation. All the dimensions of structure are as per site measurements.

Material properties we have taken from the NDT testing done on site i.e. Results of
Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test, Rebound Hammer Test, etc. Along with that loads like Dead
Load, Live Load, Wind Load and their Combinations are applied on structure as per relevant
Indian Standards/ codes

By this we calculated maximum story displacement, drift, shear force and overturning
moment at each story that can be occur.
CONCLUSION:
Structural analysis performed on an existing structure, incorporating material
properties obtained from NDT tests and applying current loads reveals that; Building is
falling into Life Safety to Immediate Occupancy Limit and some of hinges are falling into
collapse prevention, so it is very important to repair structure immediately.
