Driver Installation Guide

1. List of Components to Install

For each installation please run the Pinstall.bat within the file directory.

For the utilities listed as “Optional Installs”, please check section 2 for dependencies.

Component Definitions
Mandatory Installs – Drivers which must be installed for core functionality. These components are listed
in the order for installation recommended by Panasonic. For individual component installs, please refer to
“2. Prerequisites”.

Recommended Installs – Applications which are not required for core functionality but are recommended
to support enhanced functionality or assist with Panasonic system support.
These components are listed in order for installations recommended by Panasonic. For individual
component installs, please refer to“2. Prerequisites”.

 2. Hardware ID’s and Directories
Drivers downloaded individually from the Panasonic driver download web site, will have the default
directory displayed in the Directory column.

Drivers downloaded using the “Panasonic Driver Download Manager” (available for download from the
Panasonic driver download web page), will have different directories defined by the user through the
application.

Drivers and Utilities Definitions and Comments
1. Inf file for Sharkbay Intel recommends that this be installed before all drivers and applications.
2. System Interface Device Drivers System Interface Device Drivers enables applications and BIOS to communicate each
other. This driver is used by the Panasonic applications to do OEM functions.
3. Common Components for Panasonic PC This applications contains all libraries needed for the Panasonic applications
4. Common Components for Panasonic PC (x64) This applications contains all libraries needed for the Panasonic applications
5. System Session Manager An application to use the resident application made by Panasonic.
6. HID Drivers for Panasonic PC This driver is used by tablet button.
7. Hotkey Settings It is an application, where you can set the pop-up display of the function key and lock
the Fn key.
8. PC Information Viewer This software is needed to support your trouble by Panasonic.
9. PC Information Popup PC Information Popup informs various system events to the user.
10. Panasonic Dashboard This application provides the H/W settings function and the application launch
function, by integrated User interface.
11. Wireless Toolbox This application is needed to enable/disable 802.11a
12. Ambient Light Sensor Driver This will set the necessary setting about Display adaptive brightness using the Ambient
Light Sensor.
13. HOLD Mode Settings Utility Application to set up and control the behavior of the HOLD button.
14. Touch Screen Control Service The service to control touch screen input.
