I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the 60-minute period at least 80% of the student
should be able to:
1. Explain at least 1 Philippine theatrical form operationally.
2. Show appreciation to the different Philippines theatrical forms
through active participation.
3. Demonstrate understanding to the Philippine theatrical forms
through differentiated activities.

2.RELIGIOUS KOMEDYA
-mostly performed to enhance
religious festivities
-focuses on the life of religious
icons. (Jesus Christ, St. Michael
and other Patron Saints)
- Examples: Siete Palabras,
Comedia de San Miguel and
Senakulo; the Lenten
presentation of Passion of Christ
SARSUELA
-an art form of lyric
theatredrama, comical in
nature and is incorporated with (Student reads what is written

-It originated from Spain and
was made popular in the
Philippines in the 1800’s
- It portrays the typical Filipino
realities and stories and social

country
