Module 1 : Certificate in English Communication (CEC)
In this module the student learns how to communicate in English. We have a set of 7 books and Mobile App - Daily English. We
start the course with basic vocabulary and a foundation of Grammar using the Spoken Words book and the Preparatory
Grammar book. Along with this we also start with small conversations. This is followed by an intensive sentence preparation
practice with focus on grammatically correct sentences using the Adv. Grammar book, Translation book and the Word list book.
We have conversation practice through out the module. Once the student is able to make sentences and have conversations
then we get into proper pronunciation and Accent correction.

make presentations. Telephone handling, email writing and business letter drafting skills will be improved to make you a SMART

Speakwell Confidence Building Activities :
As the proverb goes “Practice makes a man Perfect”. Language learning is all about practicing. Speakwell has designed the entire
learning process based on continuous and rigorous practice. To overcome the fear of communicating in English and improve their soft
skills, Speakwell organizes various activities and events for the students on a regular basis at centre level, zonal level and city/state
level. Speakwell organizes a yearly event “English ka Dhurandhar” for developing the confidence and encourage the students to
perform in English on the stage which enhances their personality. At the centre level the students are encouraged to participate in
various activities like:
Public Speaking & Presentations:
The students are trained to give speeches in the classroom to their classmates and they are also trained on
presentation skills by giving them several topics which they have to present in the class.
Debates & Quiz:
We encourage students to engage in structured debates where they can express their opinions and criticize
other’s opinions and learn how to participate in a group conversations.
Skits and Role Play:
In this, a group of students take a topic and enact the scenario and each student plays a character and all the
conversations are done in English. This enhances their conversation skills.
