Sweet Oddity Art 1

 Pattern Details

Size:
16 inches from foot to top of head with weight 4 yarn and a 3.25 mm hook

Skill Level Needed:

Intermediate- suitable for novice crocheters, requires patience and precisions when assembling
the unicorn and basic crochet skills.

Materials Needed:
Red Heart Light Gray, Red Heart Aran, Red Heart Bubblegum, Red Heart White
Hook Size: E Hook or 3.5 mm
15 mm safety eyes
Scissors, sewing needle, stitch marker, fiberfill stuffing, White felt

Abbreviations:
mr= magic ring- crochet single crochet stitches in to the
adjustable loop
ch= chain stitch tr=triple crochet
sc= single crochet stitch
sl= slip stitch
dc= double crochet stitch
inc= increase- make two single crochet stitches in the same stitch
dec=decrease- crochet two stitches together using the decrease method
(4 sc, inc) x 6= repeat the pattern between parentheses 6 times

Notes:
• Do not join rounds unless stated, work in a continuous spiral
• Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round
• All stitches are worked in both loops unless stated otherwise in the pattern

 Assembly

Head and body:

1. start by attaching the hood to the head. Place the hood onto the head and smooth it
out. Make sure it goes towards the front near the eyes, leaving enough room for the hair and
covers half of the head hole.
2. Pin the body and head together for extra support. Sew the head and body together.

Hair:
1. You are going to want to cut two very long strands of pink yarn. Thread a needle with
both of them, make sure they do not get twisted. Than pick a spot on the head slightly in front
of the R eye by the hood. Go down the side of the head over the L eye. Keep doing this until you
get a side swept look. Refer to the pictures. Repeat for the other side of the head.

Arms:
1. Pin the arms onto the sides of the body
2. Sew on the arms

Ears:
1. Pinch the ears at the bottom. Sew slightly up the ear to hold them in the pinch
position. Sew about 2-3 stitches up.
2. Pin the ears onto the head and sew on.

Sweet Oddity Art 12

Horn:
1. Pin the horn onto the head in between the ears.
2. Sew the horn onto the head.

Side Braid:
1. Cut 9 long strands of pink yarn. Using the hook and loop method, attach them
underneath the hood by the chunk of hair on the left side. Braid the hair.

Sweet Oddity Art 13

Tail:
1. Cut about 10 strands of pink yarn. Using the same hook and loop method. Attach the
yarn onto the back of the body.
2. For the finishing touch. Cut a star out of white felt and glue or sew it onto the front of
the body.
