1. Overview and Operation

1-1. Overview
This is a function to perform the monitor and parameter setup of MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC
inverter FR-_500.

1-2. Parts Configuration

There are two kinds of component parts called Main and Sub.
- Mitsubishi FR-_500 Main VGA.V8C (Mitsubishi FR-_500 Main SVGA.V8C)
- Mitsubishi FR-_500 Sub VGA.V8C (Mitsubishi FR-_500 Sub SVGA.V8C)

When using only one Mitsubishi FR-_500 component parts on a screen, place one Main
[Mitsubishi FR-_500 Main VGA.V8C].
When using multiple Mitsubishi FR-_500 component parts on a screen, place one Main
[Mitsubishi FR-_500 Main VGA.V8C] and one or more Subs [Mitsubishi FR-_500 Sub
VGA.V8C] on the screen. (Up to 6 in total for VGA and 8 in total for SVGA can be placed on a
screen.)

- Method for changing PLC No. after placing Component Parts on the screen

Procedures for changing PLC No. of the component parts of PLC8 already set for the inverter
on the screen program to PLC7 are described here.

- Note
*This method may not be used for changing PLC No. depending on your configuration
pattern.
Please refer to the following configuration patterns.
: PLC No. [ ] : Name of serial port to be used.

[Pattern 1]
In case
PLC1 [CN1] : PLC etc.
PLC8 [MJ1] : Inverter (Mitsubishi FR-V500) Component parts
are set in the screen program,
and you are going to change the component parts of PLC8 to PLC2.
OR
In case you are going to add the new component parts of temperature controller
etc. to PLC8 after changing the component parts of PLC8 to PLC7.

[Pattern 2]
In case
PLC1 [CN1] : PLC etc.
PLC2 [MJ1] : Inverter (Mitsubishi FR-V500)
PLC8 [MJ2] : Inverter (Mitsubishi FR-V500) Component parts
are set in the screen program,
and you are going to delete PLC8 after changing (integrating) the component parts
of PLC8 to PLC2 which the same device is already specified.

[Pattern 3]
In case
PLC1 [CN1] : PLC etc.
PLC2 [MJ1] : Inverter (other device) or Temperature controller etc.
PLC8 [MJ2] : Inverter (Mitsubishi FR-V500) Component parts
are set in the screen program,
and you are going to change the component parts of PLC8 to PLC3 etc.

* In case of changing PLC No. by [Method for changing PLC No. after placing
Component Parts on the screen], it is required once to set the same device to the
other serial port and move the settings of the component parts.
For [Pattern 3], this method cannot be used to change PLC No. since the serial
port is not available.
For this configuration pattern, please follow [Method for changing PLC No. in
Component Parts file beforehand] (page 12) to change PLC No. and then place the
component parts on the screen.
