 Equivalences

This qualification at Level 3 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and

competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to GCE AS/A
Levels.

Qualification structure

The Level 3 Diploma in Business and administration qualification consists of 5

mandatory units for a combined total of 60 credits. (We also offer Diploma in
Business and Management having 120 credit qualification)

Mandatory Units

 The Business Environmentn - 10 credits

 Academic Skills for Business - 12 credits
 Fundamentals of Marketing - 14 credits
 Principles of Finance and Accounting - 14 credits
 Working with People - 10 credits

Progression

Successful completion of the Level 3 Diploma in Business and administration

qualification enables learners’ direct entry to BA (Hons) Business Studies
degree (fee - £5500 for LSIB learners) or into Year 1 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s
degree or pursue Level 4 Diplomas.

Assessment and verification

All units within this qualification are internally assessed and externally verified by the
awarding body. The qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the
achievement of all the specified learning outcomes.

To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that
they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all
assessment criteria.

This qualification will suit you if you are planning to take a business degree but do
