Advantages of having centralized Bus Terminal

Point 1: Centralized Ticketing System

There are many benefits and advantages of having modern, state of the art building that
it facilitates a convenient and hassle free ticketing services. The centralized ticketing
system facilitates the selling of tickets for 41 bus operators through 10 counters provided
at the building. Furthermore, the centralized ticketing system use is similar operating
system deployed at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) which also available online. The
online ticketing system helps to eliminate passengers from purchasing tickets from illegal
touts. Furtherance reducing the risk of purchasing bus services which is not available or
avoiding purchasing such tickets at inflated prices.

Point 2: Complementing facilities


Having a bus terminal solely for the purpose of purchasing tickets is uneconomical in
nature. The new bus terminal also provides complimenting facilities for the benefit of
passengers such as food kiosk located at departure gates, public car parks, taxi bays as
well as 6 parking bays for bus operators to pick up and ferry passengers to their
destination. The newly terminal also provides food and beverages kiosk for the
convenient of passengers to keep them away from hunger while waiting for the arrival of
their buses. In addition, 30 parking lots available for member of public to park their
vehicles conveniently. Other facilities available at the premise includes amongst other,
public toilets, prayer rooms and area for changing baby napkins.

Point 3: Elevate Comfort and Conveniences


The ample space provided at the waiting area with fully air condition would definitely
elevate the level of comfort and convenience compared to the make shift cabin provided
at the previously location at Section 13. The building terminal also served as proper
shelter to users on hot and rainy days.

Point 4: The Connections with other mode of transportation


The terminal building is well connected with other mode of public transportation. There
are 10 parking bays allotted for taxi and grab drivers to pick and drop off services. In
addition, there is a shuttle bus services connecting the terminal to other parts of Shah
Alam with one hour frequency interval time. This would definitely ease the movements of
arrival and departure of the crowd.
Point 5: Easy Access and strategic Location
The strategic location of the bus terminal which can be accessed through Pesiaran Perak
as the main road and can be connected from Section 18, 24 and Kampung Padang Jawa
provides alternatives as exit road if traffic congestions occurred. The location described
as a strategic location as it is 10 minutes away from PKNS and MBSA at the heart of
capital of Selangor, 15 minutes away from tertiary education institution, Uitm and other
nearby Sections which can be reached within 10 to 15 minutes of driving.

Point 6: Larger Capacity of Ferrying Passengers


The capacity of new terminal building is also the advantage of having such insfrastructure.
It is believed that the new building could accommodate 300 passengers at any point of
time thus providing a closed secured placed for passengers.
