Dear Students and Families,

Greetings! I am so excited for the new school year! My name

is Helena Jankowski and I am the Diverse Learner teacher
serving the 7-8th graders at Murray Language Academy.
I am originally from Michigan, where I received my Bachelors
and Masters Degrees in Special Education from Michigan State
University (Go Spartans!)
When I am not teaching, I love exploring Chicago! I also sing
and enjoy attending concerts and plays.
I love giving the students and families I serve a voice, so if
you would like to meet with me, my door is open to you. Please

Craziest Thing I’ve Ever Done: In South Africa, I bungee jumped off of
the world’s tallest bungee bridge - it was 216m (almost 710ft!)
