I. Objectives:
 Define the word internet etiquette
 Recognize the social responsibilities of the computer user.

III. Procedure:
A. Motivation:
Before we start a new topic for today you are going to watch a video clip.
Video Clip: Computer Ethics: A Story

B. Activity:
For you to understand more about our topic we are going to have an activity. I’m
going to divide the class into 3 groups. Each groups will receive an envelope which
enclose an activity that you are going to do. Choose a leader to explain your
answer.

“4 PICS 1 WORD”
Once you open the envelope, you will be shown with four photographs. These four have
something in common. Sometimes it will be obvious, while other times, it can actually be
fairly hard to guess. Below the pictures you will see a sentence with blank space,
unscramble the letters to form a word that will complete the sentence.
C. Analysis:
 Based on the given activity, how are you going to define the word
Internet Etiquette?
 What do you think will happen if you didn’t recognize the responsibilities
of computer user?
 What is internet etiquette?

D. Abstraction:
 What is the importance of having internet etiquette?
 How will it affect our lives?
E. Application:
As a responsible student and computer user, make a list the things that you
should do and should not do when using computer. Write it on ½ sheet of paper.

F. Evaluation:
Direction: Read each sentences carefully. Write Computer if the statement is
correct and Virus if it is not.

1. Internet etiquettes should be observed at all times.


2. Forwarding information sent to you without checking with the
original sender first is safe.
3. Copying material from the internet word for word is unethical.
4. People must respect other people’s privacy when working on
computers.
5. It is unethical and illegal to purchase one copy of a software
program for several computers unless a site license is purchase.
