    7 Ways to Determine Whether Mercury can be considered a N.B. or an N.M.


    When is Mercury considered a Natural Benefic or a Natural Malefic?

    1. ME’s inclination is to be a NB, if inspected (ignore the Sun…Sun is


    always close).
    2. Even if the Moon is a NM, it’s not enough on its own; it needs other
    planets (confluence) to give a negative effect.
    3. If ME is with JU (the teacher), ME will be a NB.
    4. If ME is with bad company, ME will be a NM.
    5. If ME is with “hoods” (NM’s) with a weak or ordinary NB (substitute
    teacher), ME stays NM when a strong enough influence.
    6. If ME with “hoods” (NM’s) (no matter how many bad “hoods”…it could
    be all of them) and JU is strong (strong teacher), ME will “kiss butt” to
    the teacher making it NB.
    7. If ME with strong “hoods” (NM’s) & a strong JU (NB), then it is fixed
    karma, and the karmic pattern is not clear enough; you will have to
    make a judgement call.
