Taekwondo
Taekwondo is a form of martial arts that is originated from Korea. There are a few
techniques in taekwondo, which are jumping and spinning kicks, fast kicking and
head-high kicks. Students who learn taekwondo usually wear white uniforms and
they are encouraged to wear it in formal ceremonies such as during their belt tests.
Students wear their uniforms with a belt tied at the waist. The belt shows the
student’s rankings. In order to move up their ranks, they need to pass the belt tests.
The most important advantage when we learn taekwondo is it can teach us self-
defence. We can defend ourselves and other people from danger. Besides,
learning taekwondo can also build our confidence and self-reliance.
