Muhammad Imran Khan:


A Profile

c urrently he is serving as Assistant Professor in the department of management sciences,


COMSATS Vehari and having more than 14 years of teaching, research and administrative
experience at university level. He has completed his PhD in Marketing from Qurtuba University
Peshawar in March, 2012. He is also HEC registered supervisor as well as NBEAC (HEC)
certified evaluator. His areas of interest are marketing, e-marketing, advertising, marketing
research, research methodology, Consumer Behavior and e-commerce and Management.

He has been awarded IRSIP (HEC) scholarship for getting research assistance from Dr. Khaliq
Ahmed as a co-supervisor, who was the dean faculty of economics and management sciences in
International Islamic University Malaysia (2009). Dr. M Imran has published and presented
more than 17 research papers in national and international HEC approved, ISI, Impact factor
research journals and conferences. He is also working on three HEC funded research projects
as a principal and co-principal investigator. He has successfully supervised fifteen M.Phil
scholars and more than eight scholars are in pipeline.

1. Currently working as Assistant Professor (Marketing), in the Department of Management


Sciences, COMSATS University Vehari campus, Punjab, Pakistan, since 22nd July 2013.
Teaching to graduation and post graduation level.

2. Working as a Convener/ Head of the Campus Admissions Department, while supervising


marketing campaign and the website issues of the COMSATS Vehari Campus, since Sept,
2013.

3. Worked as a Convener/ Head of the Campus Transport Department, COMSATS Vehari


Campus, since 2013 to 2016.

4. Served Qurtuba University Dera Ismail Khan for the last 11 years, as a Lecture as well
as an Assistant Professor Since, March, 2002. Taught BBA, MBA, MBA-IT, BIT, & MIT
and M.Phil/ PhD classes on regular basis.

5. Got six months HEC scholarship as a Visiting Ph.D scholar for getting research
assistance from Dr. Khaliq Ahmed, Dean Faculty of Economics and Management
Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia under IRSIP (HEC) program.

and seminars in order to promote the organizational services.

1. 2009, Completed a one year Research Project titled as “Management from Islamic
Perspective” jointly with Dr. Khaliq Ahmed, Dean of Kulliah of Economics and
Management Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia.

2. 2014, Completed research project as a Principal Investigator of worth Rs: 0.5


millions approved by HEC, under the title of “The impact of social media on

teacher’s performance: A case of study of Dera Ismail khan and District
Vehari, Pakistan”.

3. 2015, working as Co-Principal Investigator in the one year research project of Rs:
0.5 millions approved by HEC, titled as “The Relationship between Financial
Constraints and Research Productivity: A comparative Study of Public and Semipublic
Universities of Pakistan".

4. 2016 working as Co-Principal Investigator in the one year research project of Rs:
0.5 millions approved by HEC, titled as “Impact of recognition on the
performance of academicians: mediating role of gender and qualification”.
