Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources.

The mine covers an area of 30 km² that


falls under the sixth generation of Contract of Work (CoW) covering a total area of 1,639 km².

The resource base on 31 December 2017 includes 8.8 Moz of gold and 72 Moz of silver. Production commenced at
Martabe on 24 July 2012. The operating capacity of Martabe Gold Mine is in excess of 5 mtpa ore to produce in
excess of 300,000 oz of gold and 2-3 Moz of silver per annum.

PT Agincourt Resources engages more than 2,600 employees and contractors, with approximately 98%
Indonesians, of which more than 70% were recruited from local people.

To strengthen the existing maintenance management team and to ensure the achievement of the company
objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:

SENIOR SUPERVISOR SAFETY (PD 1807045)


This position will be based at Martabe Site in OHS & Training Department, working on schedule 4 Weeks on; 2
weeks off and reports directly to Project Manager.

The Role of the Senior Supervisor Safety is :


 Safety supervisors are responsible for a wide variety of tasks associated with maintaining a safe workplace.
Many near miss incidents are caused by unsafe or unhealthful workplace conditions or hazards
 Safety supervisors are responsible for ensuring that workers are properly trained regarding company-specific
and Occupational Safety and Health Act, or OHS, safety requirements.
 Safety supervisors are involved in creating, maintaining and communicating safety-related policies and
procedures, as well as ensuring that they are followed.
 Beyond providing safety training to employees, safety supervisors are proactively involved in ensuring that
proper practices are observed on the workplace.
 Safety supervisors are responsible for making sure that all safety equipment is properly maintained.
 When accidents, injuries or illnesses occur in the workplace, it is important to determine the cause so that
such problems can be prevented in the future. Supervisors are responsible for conducting accident
investigations and for ensuring that all occupationally injured employees report to the Occupational Medical
Service (OMS) immediately.
 Safety supervisors are responsible for ensuring that their companies are in compliance with all safety-related
regulatory requirements, including OHS standards, Department of Transportation regulations and
Environmental Protection Agency requirements.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

1. Relevant qualification in an Emergency Services Discipline at the level of Station Officer/Supervisor or


equivalent.
2. Formal qualifications in a Health and Safety related discipline.
3. Ability to obtain a Indonesia Driver’s License
4. 5 years’ experience in the mining industry in the field of emergency response or loss control.
5. Experience in an open pit environment
6. Experience in the supervision of contractor personnel
7. Experience working with expatriate personnel
8. Experience working with Crisis Management System
9. Thorough knowledge response strategies.
10. Current, thorough knowledge of Mine Safety Act and Regulations
11. A sound awareness of operational safety issues and an excellent personal safety record.
12. High level competency in personal computer applications including Excel, Access & Project

13. Knowledge in the field of risk assessment and risk management
14. Thorough knowledge of incident investigation practices to identify causes and remedial actions.
