Name of the Project : Multipurpose Solar Fencing

India has agriculture based economy .Most of the people in our country earn their living
through agriculture and farming . Himachal Pradesh has its distinct role and contribution in the
field of horticulture and agriculture . it’s the matter of great concern that the hard earned
agricultural crop is being ruined by Animals like monkeys . Poor farmers have no means to deal
with this issue .In order to fight this problem I wish to prepare a project for the protection of
crops of farmers.

Working of Solar Power Fencing

Solar power fencing is an electric fence that uses solar energy to energize the fence with
electricity. The electricity to the fence is supplied using solar panels, charge controllers and
voltage amplifiers. The supply of electricity is so weak that the current produced will only give
the animal a slight jerk ,preventing the animals to enter in the fields.

The system consists of the following

o Solar panel
o Voltage Amplifiers
o Battery
o Alarm with controller circuit
o Fence with poles, insulators, wire tightners etc.

 Security fencing can also be is used to protect offices, factory premises,

warehouses, stadiums etc. This type of fencing is mounted on top of the
 compound walls or ground level. The system has contact alarms which are
triggered when the electric fencing is touched, broken or tampered with.
 Solar fences are used in agricultural / forest fencing used to protect
agricultural fields from animals and stop animals such as monkeys and
cows from the forest from wandering on to roads, human habitat etc.
 High security fences can also be designed to protect high security premises
and are integrated with CCTV Cameras .
