Hi Frank,

It was great seeing you at Chapel Tavern the other night and reconnecting. After discussing how
you were interested in learning more about campaign finances, I wanted to reach out to you
first about this feature.

I wanted to give you the first opportunity on an upcoming story that we would like to release
about John Douglas and his campaign for Congress. The idea here is to give you a one-hour
exclusive interview with Mr. Douglas to discuss his fundraising strategy of only accepting
contributions from citizens within the congressional district – and how his opponent has raised
a majority of his funds from outside of Nevada, let alone the district.

There is tremendous opportunity to break this story and to tie this back to the upcoming
election. With John’s opponent primarily fundraising outside of Nevada, it is imperative that
Nevadans within the 2nd Congressional District know what is at stake for them.
