CHIEF OFFICER’S STANDING ORDER
FOR CARGO OPERATION
During loading/discharging operation officer on watch must see to it AB’s on duty strictly follow all orders bellow :
1. To check that accommodation ladder/ portable ladder is properly rigged with safety net and to adjust according to ship
movement due to ride change and cargo operation
2. Duty AB shall regularly patrol in the ship (both inside and outside the accommodation) to prevent theft, fire and stowaway.
When a suspicious man according to instruction from the duty officer
3. Ensure that no fishing vessel or boat coming alongside during loading/discharging operation
4. to keep the vessel properly alongside the pier or jetty. Tighten any slack mooring lines and slack mooring lines which are too
tight due to tide changes and draft changes due to loading/discharging operation
5. adjust the fire wire in correct position one meter above the water line and these should be rigged properly w/a loop. Scupper
plug and spill tanks plug are securely fastened
6. The duty AB shall carefully check around the ship. If any abnormality was found, he shall immediately report it to the duty
officer and obtain instruction from the duty officer
7. To monitor manifold pressure, tank pressure/temperature and report to the duty officer for any abnormal rise in the pressure
or abnormal drop/rise in the liquid temperature. He shall also report for any leak discovered in the cargo pipe lines if cargo
hoses
8. During ballasting/de-ballasting operation, to take soundings of each ballast tank to confirm quantity. While pumping out
ballast, check for any oil film or oil sheen in the vicinity. If any oil sheen is observed, STOP pump out immediately and
investigate the source
9. to call master or c/o in case off fire o/b or in the terminal, cargo hose burst or any other similar emergency sound general
alarm and do all his best to control the situation or in case of any doubt don’t hesitate to consult the master and c/off
10. he should not to leave the manifold area or deck unattended. There should be at least one officer or crew o/d all time and shall
record in port log all movements during loading/discharging operation
11. check regularly the hydraulic pressure it must be between 35-40 kg/cm2
12. ensure that the fire-fighting equipment are on standby and ready for immediate use, fire hoses should be pressurized with
water and that gas pump is running during the entire loading/discharging operation
13. check bridge cargo monitoring and cargo control system at least once every hour and report any abnormalities
14. observe port and terminal regulation be vigilant in the time of duty and maintain a safe watch
15. RECORD ALL ACTIVITY AT PORT LOG
16. REMEMBER “ SAFETY FIRST “

SAFETY MEETING BEFORE LOADING OPERATION

Details: Cilacap, Indonesia

1. The Cargo is Propylene will be load about +/- 1650 MT ,Cargo ROB; 52 MT.
2. Prepared Safety Equipment before along side .
3. Equalized ship tank and shore tk pressure before commenced loading
4. Load is Propylene = +/- 1650 MT.IN NETT. Est SG: 0.5229 MW; 42.08
5. ESDV keep Press 35 – 40 Kg/cm2
4. Gang way must be settled safety net and fasted properly.
5. Before comm.loading prepare cargo compressor due cargo tank pressure : 10.0kg/cm2, 5 mnt
before complted stop cargo compressor and star After completed loading for drying line from ship
back to ship by compressor.
6. Please observe and adhere strictly on the following procedures for the safe handling of cargo,
terminal regulation, ship/shore checklist, ballast handling procedures and standing orders for safe
cargo operations
7.Don’t leave the deck unattended and keep the ship/shore access clean
8. SSP Port Log must be writing and Access Point must be watch by Officer or A/B duty.
9. Prepare and Stand-by, Protective equipment. Safety Equipment, First aid
10. Safety inspection should be Made During cargo Operation by OOW.
11.When Temp. Tank is going up (40C) please confirm to E/room for started cooling water
When tank pressure going up to 8.0 kg/cm2 please prepared Compressor
12. We load on tank no.1 no 2, topping up until +/- 9.010 mm if liquid temp.31.5’C
13. If the tank no.2 = 7.50 mtr before topping off please discuss with Ch/Off
14. Don’t hesitate for discuss with Ch. Officer if you doubt.( any time if you need )
15.Loading rate Is +/-160 MT/Hrs
16.Ullage TK I : 9010 mm. TK 2 : 9010 mm or ship stop with liquid temp.31.5’C By LEVEL
17. Conducted safety patrol as per ship shore check list every hour.
