LOTUS NOTES DATABASE SETUP


3.1 In order to load a global mail box into the Lotus notes, Go to File> Database> Open as shown below.
3.2 Type in madln3000/Internal/Internal/Server/Develop in the server drop down box. Select appropriate
mailbox and click Open.

Notes:

1. To use Lotus Notes, the user must have access to the Accenture network (LAN in an Accenture office
or via VPN).

2. If you try to open a database for country other than the one you selected in step 2.6, an “unauthorized
user” error message will pop up. Please restart Lotus Notes and click cancel twice when password box is
prompted. Then, go to File > Tools > Switch ID… and select appropriate mailbox id file as in step 2.6.
3.3 The Global Mailbox for your country should now be loaded .

4.1 For some countries, you must load the appropriate local mailbox, as this is the location that will be
used in the course of testing. To load the local mailbox for a particular country, go to File> Database>
Open and double click on Local LN mailboxes from the Local Server.

Note: Please note that Local LN mailboxes are located in the folder you created when extracting files in
step 1.1.
4.2 Select the appropriate local mailbox and click Open.
Note: Not every country has a local mailbox.

4.3 Click “Execute Once” each time the Local Mailbox is opened.
4.4 To proceed with E2E tests, select the time report you wish to test in the global mailbox.

Then, copy that record and paste it into the local mailbox.
You are now ready to collect the time report(s) using the appropriate Back-End ARTES Console for your
country. For instructions on this process, please see the appropriate Console Documentation. Be sure
that when you set up your Back-End Console, your Lotus Notes parameters match the folders you
created in step 1.1.

PLEASE NOTE:

The ARTES BackEnd Consoles are not designed to run in and have not been tested in Workstation
7/Windows Vista. If you are running Workstation 7/Windows Vista, you may experience problems in
the collect stage. Please only use the consoles with Workstation 6.X/Windows XP to avoid these iss
