CHAPTER – CONGRUENCE OF TRIANGLES

1. The length of two sides of an isosceles triangle is 9cm and 20cm. Find the
perimeter of the triangle.
2. Triangles DEF and LMN are both isosceles with DE = DF and LM = LN,
respectively. If DE = LM and EF = MN, then , are the two triangles
congruent? Which criteria do you use? Write all the corresponding equal
parts. Also if ∠ E = 400, then what is the measure of ∠N?
3. ABC is an isosceles triangle with AB = AC and D is the midpoint of BC.
i) State three pair of equal parts in triangles ABD and ACD.
ii) Is ∆ ABD ≅ ∆ ACD? If so, why?
4. In given figure PQ = PS and ∠ 1 = ∠ 2
i) ∆ PQR ≅ ∆ PSR? Give reasons.
ii) Is QR = SR? Give reasons.
