Alessandra Abate plays “la güira” and sings, Fernando Bosch plays the guitar and
Armando Lovera the drums, this bands explore some genres of music like “guaracha”,
“salsa”, “swing”, “cumbia”and mix it all together. They call themselves:
NEWCOOLGUARACHA like the genre they play. This band proves that you can dance with
music that needs an understanding of the context (intelligent music) it fusion their lyrics with
the rithm and make you dance and sometimes think.

De donde vengo

A song about Venezuela.

Was write 2 years ago focused on the critical state of Venezuela showing the political
and the people behavior and how it affected (still affecting) us, It talks about what you can
find at Caracas, for example (not sugar or rice), Mention the lack of security that a normal
person suffers in Venezuela and express that there is no one to act against all the injustice
that we live.

In words of Alessandra "Como caribeños nos corresponde bailar, y como venezolanos,

nos corresponde reflexionar y hacer eco de lo que estamos viviendo. Esa es la intención de De
donde vengo: una catarsis bailable y necesaria."(Like Caribbean’s is our duty to dance, and
as venezuelans, our duty is to meditate and share what we are living. That’s the objective
of De donde vengo: a danceable and necessary catharsis.

We believed that they want to show to the listener what we are a living but not as a
critic, they just want to show…, to put some of the everyday problems of Venezuela and
give them a fresh new look, they want you to enjoy their music regardless of all the actual
situation, that’s why in all their concert people dance and sing not to forget the problems,
to embrace them.

Maybe showing us our afflictions and accepting them, we can star to get all the solution
we need to improve our country, begin to know on how the economics works, get better
planification and build a new Venezuela.
