Week Eleven News!
Report cards were sent home today.
Please sign and return the envelope—the
report card is yours to keep.
Your pink conference sign-up
sheet was due today. The staff is
meeting Tuesday morning to determine the best
schedule to accommodate families with children in
multiple grade levels. A school-wide conference
schedule will be published by Friday for the
parent/ teacher conferences taking place
Nov. 16-18. Watch your child’s folder for your
time slot.
No book order forms will be sent home this month
because we will be hosting our annual Book
Fair. It will take place right here at school in the
church fellowship hall from Monday, November
15 through Friday, November 19. As was
mentioned previously, this year is a used book fair
with the books being provided by you--our school
and church families. We are still accepting book
donations. You are encouraged to shop next week
between the hours of 3 PM and 5PM. Because the
books are used we will be able to offer them at
wonderfully discounted prices.
Once again we will have a book fair opening
day food drive . Bring a least one canned
food item before 8:25 AM on Monday,
November 15, and your child will receive a donut!
The canned food items will be donated to a local
food bank after Thanksgiving. We will continue to
welcome as many non-perishable food items as
you like to donate even after the book fair food
drive is done. This is an on-going ministry of our
church.
On Sunday, November 20 from 2-4 PM we will
be hosting a kindergarten open house. Please
refer anyone you know who may be interested in
learning more about our kindergarten or Jr. K
programs.

Zoo-Phonics News
This week we will inch our way to a new letter with
Inny inchworm. By now we’ve covered
enough letters to make some words! If your child is
interested try writing down some simple words and see if
your child can read them or identify the letter sounds
involved. You may need to help them blend the first
sound into the second. It may also help to stretch out
the vowel sound. For example, dig= “d-iiiiiiiiii-
g”. Let me know if you think having a copy of the zoo-
phonics letters would make it easier and I’d be happy to
provide them. Have fun!
Other Classroom News
In our Bible lessons this week we will learn about
the special way God called Samuel to serve Him.
Then we will meet David as a young shepherd in
the fields of Bethlehem.
In math we will continue to explore with triangles.
We will also work with comparing and matching as
well as numbers.
Sad News : This is John Marc’s last week with
us. His father has a great job opportunity that will
require them to move to the east coast. We wish
John Marc and his family a blessed move and
future. We are so happy we had the chance to get
to know you.
