My life in 2175

Time fades as fast as the light that is buried by the shadows of the floating buildings on another
afternoon of 2175. Living here is utterly different from the past; my family and career have changed
a lot and I have seen myself surrounded by good and bad moments.

First, life has stretched with no limitation for medical advances and that help me to do unimaginable
things. To begin with, I have lived a century and a half, which has allowed me to have married twenty
times and with men of different ages. Despite it´s a little difficult to find the ideal couple, meeting
new people was exciting. Moreover, product of my marriage I had 18 children, 50 grandchildren and
25 great grandchildren and I could see them grow. Next, I was been able to study ten careers, even
some of them at the same time because I felt young, measurable and vigorous to do it. As I studied
different careers, I obtained the management of an important company whose owners were robots
and I have been living a life full of luxuries.

But on the other hand, living for a long time has disadvantages. First of all, I have not been conscious
when choosing my partners since I felt bored of spending so much time with the same person.
Consequently, I cheated my third husband many times with different men just to experience new
things. Secondly, although the careers were varied, the labor supply decrease. A percentage of
workforce was replaced by robots and also the old generation, like me kept their jobs for many
years. Although sometimes it was boring to be in the same job, leaving it would mean being in the
same situation as those who can´t find work.

To conclude, I just want to say that sometimes life is like a roller coaster, where you can see and
experience different emotions. Despite the positive and negative changes, both familiar and
professional, I have been able to adapt to this new life.
