The Indian Embassy in Kuwait re-assured that the issues of Indian engineers in

Kuwait regarding the Kuwait Society of Engineers� requirement of NBA accreditation


have been taken up extensively with all concerned authorities/departments in the
Government of Kuwait.

In a statement published by the Embassy at its website, embassy has been assured
that no Indian Engineer will be asked to leave Kuwait while the issue is still
under examination by KSE.

Embassy also informed that senior Indian Engineer-representatives and Association


leaders, along with Embassy representatives, held detailed discussions with KSE
Committee wherein the implications of NBA accreditation �alone� were fully
explained. Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, has
also authoritatively explained the position to Kuwait Government, the statement
added.

Senior officers from the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, visited Kuwait in
the fourth week of April, and discussed this issue at length with Kuwaiti
authorities.

The Embassy of India in Kuwait has already provided to KSE the list of engineers
whose residencies are expiring in the next 2�3 months for extension. If there are
any others who have not yet submitted this information, are requested to do so at
email arundavidson@yahoo.com addressed to Engineer Shri Arun Davidson of Kuwait
Engineers Forum, embassy informed.

Embassy also informed that any individual and specific issues concerning NOC, the
contact person in the Embassy is Shri K.K. Pahel, First Secretary (Political/CA) at
