Effectiveness of Technology in Daily Living of Filipinos in Baesa: A Comparative Research

on Using Technology vs. Traditional Ways of Doing Household Chores

Rationale and Objective

Nowadays, technologies are very common. Almost most of the household have their
own technologies like television, refrigerator, vacuum, washing machine, air conditioners, etc. It
is also said that technologies makes people’s lives specially when doing household chores.

The word technology came from a greek word “techne” which means art and craft. It is
first used to describe applied arts but now it is used to describe the advancements around us.
Most of the innovations of technology were made of British origin during the Industrial
Revolution which began in the Great Britain. Every year, new technologies are invented,
improved and introduced to the market.

This study aims to know the effectiveness of the technology in the daily lives of both elite
and middle-class families who afford buying technologies. The study aims to have an unbiased
comparison on which do Filipinos prefer.

Statement of the Problem

This study seeks to determine the rate of effectiveness of technology in the daily living of
Filipinos the residents of Baesa, Caloocan City and what these people prefer to use in doing
household chores. This will benefit both the researchers and companies to improve their
products.

This study seeks to gather data to the following research questions:

1. What do you prefer using for washing clothes?


a. Washing machine with dryer
b. Washing machine without dryer
c. Bare hands
2. Using the choices above, which is the most effective in terms of the color and smell?
3. In cleaning the floor, which do you prefer?
a. Vacuum
b. Broom
4. In cooking, which is the most convenient and produces the best result in terms of taste?
a. Normal cooking stove
b. Electric Stove
c. Portable Stove
d. Using Palayok

Wired vs. Wireless Charging: A Comparative Experimental Research on th Efficiency
between Wired and Wireless Charging

Rationale and Objective

Electricity is one of man’s greatest discovery. Ever since the time man was able to
harness the power of electricity, we were able to create machines, from the creation of direct
current to automobiles, and more. Electricity, with no doubt, had played an important role in
making the daily lives of men lighter.

One of the most used invention today is the Mobile Phone, a small device capable of
doing multiple tasks as the users will. Several other gadgets are also made to use phones more
efficiently, like monopods, OTG Connection, 4G Connection, Bluetooth Devices, Cases, and
more.

The most essential device a phone must have is the charger. Different chargers are also
made with different specifications to meet a user’s standard, commonly the changes in voltage
and amperage output to charge a phone faster. One growing trend in charges today are the
Wireless Chargers. However, people are still debating about the efficient of wireless chargers
saying that wired chargers still charges faster.

Because of theses scenario, this research aims to do an unbiased comparison between


Wired and Wireless charging to get results of its efficiency.

Statement of the Problem

The study aims to determine the efficiency of using wired and wireless charger and which
is the fastest, safest and most convenient way of charging.

The researchers seek to find the answers using the following questions:

1. Which one is the fastest to have a 0% phone to 100%?

2. Which of the following are more convenient?
a. Wired
b. Wireless
3. What is the estimated time to have a full charged phone using wireless charger?
4. What is the estimated time to have a full charged phone using wired charger?
5. Which do you think is the safest way to charge your phones?
a. Wired
b. Wireless
6. Is there a significant difference between the time taken to fully charge the phone with
wired and wireless charges?
7. What is the efficiency of the wired and wireless chargers?

Comparative Research on the Effects of Using Cigarette and E-Vapes in Caloocan City

Rationale and Background

In exploring the City of Caloocan you may observe people who smokes and use E-
vapes. Electronic Cigarettes (ECIGs) are devices with a heating element which produces aerosol
for inhalation.

This study aims to determine the perception of the users in smoking cigarettes or using
E- vapes and the effects of it in the health of the people. This makes it critical to understand and
discuss a true picture of safety and utility of ECIG’s in the health of the people.
