With regards, Yours Sincerely, S Reyne (S.Ayyappan)Through 74 Balwadis, 1664 rural Children were nurtured.n all the Balwadis, Malt along with hygienically prepared, highly nutritive lunch with vegetables were served during the day and in the evening vitamin-rich cereals were provided to the children. Eye camps were conducted at 5 places, in Kanyakumari, Nellai, Thoothukudi and Virudhunagar districts in which 651 were treated for their eye ailments and 138 underwent cataract operation. 53 persons were given eye medicines and 42 persons were given spectacles. In our Medicare Programme, 1514 patients were examined and treated for various common ailments through 14 Rural Medical Centers in KanyakumariNellai and Thoothukudi districts. 5 tailoring units are functioning well in Nellai district with the | total attendance of 94. Medical check up in Eye camp at Tailoring unit - Sambavarvadakarai Shencotah and Akkanapuram- Virudhunagar district Vivekavani Subscriptions 102 collected. Under ‘Adopt a Granny scheme’, 31 destitutes and old people were provided with monthly solatiums, in the form of rice, dhal,oil,etc., for their livelihood and 104 persons provided with rice only in five Southern districts of Tamilnadu. Swathyaya Varga has been conducted at Aruppukottai where 13 persons attended. ‘Yoga Varga has been conducted at 2 places in Aruppukottai and Kovilpatti where 22 persons attended. In Shivalinga Pooja conducted at 3 places in Kanyakumari District 200 devotees participated. In Durga Pooja conducted at 3 places, in Kanyakumari District 216 devotees participated. Through various branch centers, including Thoothukudi A.O. and book stalls, literature books were sold for Rs.45,176/- Ifa religion cannot help man wherever he may be, wherever he stand, it is not much of use. - Swami Vivekanandar.Monthly Deepa poojas were organized in 225 village temples in five districts of Southern Tamilnadu, in which 8170 ladies participated and offered prayers for the welfare of the self, family and the society. In 176 Sanskara Vargas, 6622. students participated. The students were taught about the values of Indian Culture through games,lectures & lessons. The feelings of oneness were strengthened among the participants, through patriotic songs and games. 1008 Deepa Pooja conducted on 05.05.2019, in Kanyakumari Sri Bhagavathiamman Temple, where 1412 devotees from 65 villages participated from southern four districts of Tamilnadu. Before Deepa Pooja Cultural class and Balwadi students’ dramas and songs were staged. Ma.Rekadave Joint Gentral Secretary lighting the lamp and Vice President Ma. Nivedita didi blessed the participants. Views of 1008 Deepa Pooja at Kanyakumari on 05.05.2019 ‘Anna Pooja was performed at Kalkurichi on 9.5.19, Virudhunagar district and 815 kgs of rice collected. Yoga camp performed in Kovilpatti 54 gents participated. Kendra Varga conducted in Aruppukottai at two place and 32 persons participated.
