Ref: Engincer-in-Chief, WRD & Chief Engineer (General), PWD, Chennai-5, Proceedings No. HDO /Sr. DO-2/ SSR 2019-20/ 19020/ 2018-1, dated 17.06.2019. ‘The committee for Schedule of Rates has approved the Schedule of Rates with Basic Rates (exclusive of all taxes and GST) for the year 2019-2020 for Highways Department as below with effect from 17.06.2019. Rates for Labour: ‘The Basic Rates of labour pertaining to Highways Department for the year 2019-20 are increased in the range of 14.84% to 20% over that of the Schedule of Rates with Basic Rates for the year 2018-19 approved by Highways Department for the categories of Bitumen Heat Master Operator, Bitumen Raker Man, Mini Hot Mix Plant Operator, Bitumen Sprayer Man, Guniting Gun Operator, Head Mazdoor, Guniting Plant Operator, Mazdoor-] and Mazdoor-I as shown in Annexure-1 Rates for IRC Metals: ‘The Basic Rates of IRC metals pertaining to Highways Department for the year 2019-20 are increased in the range of 5.22% to 5.50% over that of the Schedule of Rates with Basic Rates for the year 2018-19 approved by Highways Department as shown in Annexure-I.Conveyance Charges : The Conve Charges approved by the Public Works Department are being adopted every year and the sare Conveyance Table approved by the Public Works Department for the year 2019-20 has to be followed by Highways Department also. 1 Conditions : ‘The General note applicable to Highways Department has been appended and the General note in Public Works Department Schedule of Rates for the year 2019-20 has also to be followed. ‘The present Schedule of Rates consisting of Basic Rates of Labour and IRC Metals exclusively for Highways as in Annexure and Conveyance Table will come into force with effect from 17.06.2019. The Schedule of Rates with Basic Rates (exclusive of all taxes and GST) for the year 2019-20 for Highways Department approved by the committee is herewith forwarded to all the Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers and Divisional Engineers. They are requested to communicate the same to their sub-ordinate officers for adoption, The receipt of this proceedings along with enclosures shall be acknowledged.
