ABSTRACT
Public health center is the functional units of the organization that organizes efforts to
prioritize the health of the public service in order to achieve optimal health. However, each
institution would expect every employee has a high level of discipline in carrying out their duties.
Therefore it is necessary to analyze the factors associated with employee discipline then be taken
to increase discipline.
Research conducted using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional. The research
was done on july – august 2013. The sample was 59 people with the status of civil servants.
The results showed that factors related to employee discipline Pariaman District Health
Center Central Pariaman, Pariaman City is exemplary leadership factors statistically by Chi-
Square test P-value obtained was 0.024 P-value is ≤ 0:05 in other words it can be concluded that
there is a significant relationship between the factors exemplary leadership with employee
discipline Pariaman District Health Center Central Pariaman,
This research suggests to the health center leadership to provide sanctions in accordance
with an error rate that is listed in the Republic of Indonesia No. PP. 53 of 2010 regarding the
discipline of Civil Servants. Furthermore the amployees are expected to improve discipline by
coming and go home ontime.
