Synopsis for Summer Internship Project at XYZ company 2019

Title : Loan processing of commercial vehicles and upkeep loan at Tata Motors
Finance Ltd.

Objective and Scope:


 To understand the customer needs before recommending specific schemes that
suits their needs the best.
 To reach out different customer segments.
 Lead generation and converting them into a prospective client.

List of needed information:


 Market condition

 Competitors strategy

 Existing data base

 Frequent enquiry in the dealers

 Internal policy and schemes

Process Description:
 Lead Generation: dealer enquiry, existing database
 CIBIL and FI (field investigation): Historical financial records, field
investigation done by third party (credit alliance agency) or the internal
employee of the company.
 Dedupe (internal cibil): to see whether the customer have existing loan.
 Log in: necessary documents for login e.g.– PAN, ADHAR, VOTER ID.
 RCU verification (risk control unit): documents verification is done here.
 CAM (Credit Appraisal Memo) processing: done by credit manager for
customer credibility and ratio analysis.
 Credit decisioning: decide the credit worthiness by studying credit
worthiness of individuals and financials of the company.
 Pre- RO documents and rate negotiation: Providing EMI details to the
customer then Completion of agreement and booklet along with cheque.
(IRR)
 Disbursements: Disbursing the finance amount to the dealer
 Booking and PDD(Post Disbursement Documents) update : Updating
Insurance, Invoice and RC in the system

Methodology:

 SGAE and RSPM (in case to check individual cibil we use SGAE and RSPM)
 Commercial CIBIL (TAN, GSTIN) – Used to extract company CIBIL
 SAP

Limitation:

 Funding can be done only on the basis of Policy and Procedure e.g.: due to
poor track record earlier, current status is ignored. Loan cannot be processed
further due to relevant policy.

 Market Presence: as the branch are not diversified to various locations, we


cannot cater all the customer.

 Interest Rates: when interest rates are higher than that of the competitors.
