CENTRAL TRANSPORTATION SHOP

INTRODUCTION
In DLW the CTS shop is one of the vital shop presents
in DLW .It main work emphasizes the maintenance of
the vehicles which needs any kind of repairing on
change in parts. Vehicle are very important in the
industries as they are used to transport all the
heavy stuff from one shop to other ,with the ease of
time and effort. As most of the products in DLW are
really heavy and are almost impossible for a human
being to lift it up. So they use many other machines
to transport system to shits the products from one
shop to other . That’s why there is a shop which took
care of all the vehicles in that industries to repair
or any kind of adjustment reqirement

Transportation moves goods from one place to another

using a variety of vehicles across different
infrastructure systems. It does this using not only
technology (namely vehicles, energy, and
infrastructure), but also people’s time and effort;
producing not only the desired outputs of freight
shipments, but also adverse outcomes such as air
pollution, noise.

There are Information, Operations, and Management,

Time and Effort. Transportation systems serve people,
and are created by people, both the system owners and
operators, who run, manage, and maintain the system
and travelers who use it. Travelers’ time depends
both on freeflow time, which is a product of the
infrastructure design and on delay due to congestion,
which is an interaction of system capacity and its
use. There are the adverse outcomes of
transportation, in particular its negative
externalities:

 by polluting, systems consume health and increase

morbidity and mortality;
 by being loud they consume quiet and produce noise
(decreasing quality of life and property values);
and
 by emitting carbon and other pollutants, they harm
the environment.

SECTION IN CTS
 SERVICING SECTION :-
A motor vehicle service or tune-up is a series of
maintenance procedures carried out at a set time
interval or after the vehicle has travelled a
certain distance. The service intervals aren't
specified by the vehicle manufacturer in a
service schedule and some modern cars display the
due date for the next service electronically on
the instrument panel. A tune-up should not be
confused with engine tuning, which is the
modifying of an engine to perform better than the
original specification, rather than using
maintenance to keep the engine running as it
should.
The completed services are usually recorded in a
service book which is rubber stamped by the
service centre upon completion of each service. A
complete service history usually adds to the
resale value of a vehicle.

 LIFTER SECTION :-
Maintenance and Moderisation of lifting
equipment, allowing us to offer a wide range of
services relating to:

 overhead cranes,
 hoists (telphers, beam hoists, etc.),
 cranes - fixed, portable and mobile,

 TPT SECTION (TRANSPORT) :-

It is used to repair the engine and it’s
important parts related to the working of
machine.

 JUMBO SECTION :-
This section is used to load stuff and transport
it from one shop to other of industry.
 COMPRESSOR SECTION :-
A compressor is a mechanical device that
increases the pressure of a gas by reducing
its volume. An air compressor is a specific type
of gas compressor.
Compressors are similar to pumps both increase
the pressure on a fluid and both can transport
the fluid through a pipe. As gases are
compressible, the compressor also reduces the
volume of a gas. Liquids are relatively
incompressible; while some can be compressed, the
main action of a pump is to pressurize and
transport liquids.

 CONTROL ROOM SECTION :-

A control room, operations center, or operations
control center (OCC) is a room serving as a
central space where a large physical facility or
physically dispersed service can be monitored and
controlled. A control room will often be part of
a larger command center.
A control room's purpose is production control
and serves as a central space where a large
physical facility or physically dispersed service
can be monitored and controlled. Central control
rooms came into general use in factories.
