S: Rain or Shine freshman Javee Mocon hustled his way atop the youngsters’ ladder after being named
the PBA Press Corps Rookie of the Month for February in the Philippine Cup.

GB, please tell us what happened.

GB: Mocon, who played for San Beda in college, averaged 5.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in
20.2 minutes as the Elasto Painters went 5-of-5 in their games this past month.

Overall, Mocon averaged 7.3 points, a team-leading 7.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists with Rain or Shine
taking a league-best 7-1 record.

G: Fans gushed over their relationship when it was still on. And it seems that even after they've broken
up, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and actor Clint Bondad are showing the world – the universe,
rather – how mature individuals can handle something as tumultuous as a breakup. Catriona confirmed
in a Friday, February 22, interview on Tonight With Boy Abunda that her 6-year relationship with Clint
was now over. Here's our news spotter Kate, reporting.

K: The model accompanied his comments with his interview back in December, where he was asked
whether he acknowledges the fact that Catriona belongs not only to him, but to her family and to the
whole "universe" and he said "she belongs first of all, to herself."
He also wrote on his twitter, quoted, "Man, and here I am working so hard on my bad boy image... I
stand by all I have ever said about you. You are still the most beautiful woman that I have ever met. I
wish you the very best on your path, wherever it will carry you...Truly."

Clint closed his statements with a quote from English singer-songwriter James Blunt: "But we shared a
moment that will last till the end."

M: Easterlies or winds coming from the Pacific Ocean prevails over the Philippine Area of Responsibility
still affecting the eastern section of Luzon and Visayas. For today’s forecast, generally fair weather is
expected in most parts of the country. The whole archipelago will experience partly cloudy to cloudy
skies with chances of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Since easterlies are warm and humid in nature, hot weather will continue in the Philippines. Metro
Manila will experience 23 to 33 degrees Celsius while Metro Cebu’s temperature could reach 25 to 32
degrees Celsius. Metro Davao will feel the warmest weather tomorrow, tuesday with temperatures
ranging from 25 to 34 degrees Celsius. This is Mayn for the weather update.

S: With the declaration of March 18, 2019, Monday, as a special non-working day in Davao City,
Dabawenyos are in for a long weekend.

Stated in the proclamation no. 675 series of 2019 that Dabawenyos will be given the opportunity to
participate in the celebration of its Araw ng Pasasalamat on March 18, as part of the celebration of the
82nd Araw ng Davao.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea signed the proclamation on February 19 and this was
published in the Official Gazatte on February 22.

K: The opening of the 82nd Araw ng Davao with Mayor Inday Sarah Duterte was at the Rizal Park, last
Friday.

Meanwhile, Davao City Vice Mayor Bernard Al-ag said in an online interview that Dabawenyos should
participate in the activities prepared by the city government.
Among the highlights of the 82nd Araw ng Davao are the pageants for Mutya ng Davao and was held last
March 2 at Rizal Memorial College and our Mutya ng Davao 2019 is Ms. Cydel June Tabacolde; Ginoong
Davao was also held last Sunday, March 3 and our Ginoong Davao 2019 is Mr. Kyle Emmanuel Gaite and
Reyna Davaoeña on March 8, wednesday.

A light show will also entertain the Dabawenyos and it was started March 1 until 16 at the City Hall. A lot
of events are still on the list and for sure every Dabawenyo's are excited to participate.
