Okowa: We Are Committed to

Equitable Development
On Saturday, June 22nd, the Delta State
Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa,
reiterated his commitment to even
development across the state.

The Governor, who was represented by

his deputy, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, gave
the assurance when he presented the staff
of office to the Ebenanawei of Obetebe
Kingdom, HRM Emmanuel Arikawei, Ogisi
I.

In his address, the traditional Prime

Minister of the kingdom, Chief Tunde
Smooth, commended the Governor for
making them proud with the presentation
of staff of office to the monarch and urged
him to continue his great work on
infrastructure.

Okowa Inspects
Okerenkoko
Township Road
On Monday, June 24th, the Delta State Governor
Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, inspected the recently-
completed Okerenkoko Township Road and the
One Span Bridge in Warri South West LGA.

The inspection was carried out by Secretary to the

State Govt, Barr. Chiedu Ebie, who represented
the Governor.

SSG Receives
Nigerian Medical
Association
On Tuesday, June 25th, the Secretary to State
Government, Chiedu Ebie Esq, received members of the
Delta State Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association
(NMA), led by the Chairman, Dr. Omo Ekeneam.

The SSG, Mr. Ebie, assured the NMA of Governor

Okowa’s administration’s readiness to continue to partner
with the association in delivering effective healthcare to all
Deltans.

SSG Meets Delta

State Commissioner
of Police
On Wednesday, June 26th, the Secretary to State
Government, Mr. Chiedu Ebie, paid a visit to the Delta
State Commissioner of Police, Mr Adeyinka Adeleke at the
Police HQ in Asaba to reassure him of the state’s
continuous cooperation with the Police to tackle security
challenges in the State.

The Police Commissioner, Mr Adeleke, expressed his

gratitude for the visit and assured the Delta State
Government of the unwavering support of the Police in
ensuring that the State overcomes all security challenges.

State Government Assists Family of

Slain Student
On Thursday, June 27th, the Delta State
G o v e r n o r S e n . D r. I f e a n y i O k o w a ,
presented a 6-million naira cheque as
financial assistance to the family of Elozino
Ogege, the 300-L student of Mass
Communications at the Delta State
University, Abraka, who was killed.

The presentation was done by the Chief of

Staff to the Governor, Olorogun David
Edevbie.

On behalf of the Governor, the Chief of Staff

assured the family of the deceased and
Deltans of government’s readiness to tackle
the security challenges in the state.

Government House Bids Farewell to

2018 Batch B NYSC Corps Members
On Friday, June 28th, the Permanent
Secretary, Directorate of Government
House and Protocol, Mr. Eddy Ogidi-
Gbegbaje, charged youths in Delta
State to  shun all vices. He said this
during the send-forth event for the
NYSC 2018 Batch B Stream 1 Corpers
who served in the Directorate.

“I want to congratulate you all on  the

successful completion of the service
year. You can attain any heights if you
follow the right and positive way and
with God on your side, success will be
yours,” the Permanent Secretary said.
