British Burgers

Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 5 minutes Serves: 4


Ingredients Procedure
 500g lean beef mince 1. Put the mince into a bowl with salt, pepper, the mustard
 1 heaped tsp of wholegrain mustard and beer, then scrunch with hands and mix together.
 1 swig of quality beer or ale Divide the mixture into 4, making patties 2.5cm thick. Put
 olive oil them in the frypan, cooking until crispy and golden.
 4 wholewheat buns 2. Put the buns in the oven (130oC).
 2 tbsp natural yoghurt 3. Put the yoghurt in a small bowl, add a good splash of the
 worcestershire sauce Worcestershire sauce and stir, marbling them together.
 1 ripe tomato 4. Slice the tomatoes and gherkins. Get the buns out of the
 4 gherkins oven, cut them in half and dollop with ketchup. Top with
 tomato ketchup, to serve the burgers, gherkins, tomato & a dollop of yoghurt.
