TUESDAY NIGHT Pool!

Doncaster Fair Play Pool League

New ‘Selection cup knock-out’ format.
Follow these steps and it should go smoothly:
 Captain selects his available ‘team’ – he can name
5, 6 or 7 players
 Each captain gives the names of the players he has
selected to the opposing captain at the same time – NOT the order, just
the list of names
 For the first game, the AWAY team selects their own
player and also selects which player they want him/her to play
 Next game, it is the HOME team that selects both
players – this then alternates through all the frames
 You don’t have to decide (or tell the opposing side)
your playing order at the start – you have a minute or 2 following each
game to decide your next player and the opponent (when it’s your teams
turn) – you may have an idea but the result of the last game may change
your mind 
 Any player can only play 1 singles game or 1 doubles
match but could play a game in each (as standard rules)
 All players selected to play MUST play at least 1
game (Either singles or doubles) – this could mean the last game is
decided if 2 from each side havn’t played yet…
 Usual rules apply, 5 singles and 2 doubles matches,
with first to 4 games goes through to the next round

This is meant to create some fun and strategy to the match – it may be interesting or
may not work in practice – let’s see how it goes.
If during the games or at any time you think it has a flaw or could be improved, then
get in touch and let’s see.
Remember it’s a Fair Play League and we are all here to enjoy pool
