Important Points to be informed:

I section:

• I section W8x35 are used in the exterior ends in north to south direction
• I section W8x67 has been used in the center to satisfy the design and being on safer side
• The I sections will give combine support even if they are installed in pieces as you showed me in
the last pictures you sent me
Concrete footer:

• As given 18”x18”x24” concrete have been used where they were enough to support the load coming
from the top superstructure
• On 6 places the size has been changed to 36”x36”x24” which will be shown to you in the diagram.
• Out of 13 columns footers 6 column footers have been resized for safety purpose. They will be
marked in the final drawings with their respective reinforcement
Wood beams:

• The wood beams have been installed at 16” as per your direction given to us.
• The wood beams final size is 2”x8” with end supported by steel joists.
• The wood beam should be properly connected with the help of steel joists to ensure maximum
safety of the structure
• As previously discussed, to be on the safer side a big sum of loads has been transferred on the
steel beams and remaining is being placed on the wood beams. This in the present looks absurd
but in the long run you will understand why more load is being applied on I beams as they lose
their strength after very long time as compared to wood beams
Composite columns:

• The composite columns have been used of the size given by you to us and they have properly
worked out.
• The concrete which should be used for filling should have a strength of 4000psi.
• Proper bonding should be created between the concrete footer and composite column to ensure
safety of the structure.
Roof:

• Dead load on roof is taken very nominal and as discussed with you. You have suggested that the
hood loads will not be directly coming on the roof but still some part of the load is taken on the
roof to incorporate the loads of purlins and hood.
• The roof will be stabilized by your method of holding It and putting its load on partition walls and
some through cables.
(In the end I hope I have cleared most of my points for you. I will start working on the drawings and they
will be submitted to you after 2-3 days)
