Registration of Suppliers – Year - 2011

Applications are invited from eligible Local Suppliers, Producers and Contractors whose
names are not appearing in the Rainbow pages issued by the Sri Lanka Telecom for the
supply of goods & services in the following districts of Northern Province for the year
2011.

S-3 Repairs and service of photocopiers, type writers, duplicators and other office
electrical equipments
S-4 Repairs and service of computers, printers etc,
S-5 Repairs & service of air conditioners, electrical repairs including wiring
S-6 Provision of security services
S-7 Provision of sanitary services, cleaning of floors/doors /window & curtains.
S-8 Vehicle Repairs -Repairs of mechanical electrical circuits, Tinkering and
painting, repairs of diesel vehicles, repairs of Petrel vehicles, Installing of air-
conditioners and repairing,
S-9 Vehicle Maintenance-Periodical servicing, wheel alignment examinations, wheel
balancing and tyre replacement, vehicle internal servicing and polishing.
S-10 Hire of vehicle on rent or lease
S-11 Hire of construction Machineries

Conditions
1. The registration of suppliers will be valid only for the year 2011.
2. Quotation will be normally invited from suppliers registered with this Council and
from the suppliers whose names are appeared in Rainbow pages. However, the
Procurer reserves the right to invite quotations from any other sources.
3. Application for Registration of suppliers will be subject to assessment and
evaluation and if the details given in the application found to be false such
applications will be rejected.
4. The Chief Secretary reserves the right to accept or reject any application received
for registration without assigning any reasons.
5. Registered suppliers who fail to quote promptly when requested or fail to make
deliveries in time or in case of non - conformity with the samples will be liable to
be written off from the register of registered suppliers without any prior notice.
6. The suppliers shall be registered only for related items of goods and services for
which the Business registration is made.
7. Suppliers should indicate the preferred district/districts they could supply the
items.

8. The garages/service stations to be registered for repairs / maintenance of vehicles
should be equipped with all basic requirements. Description of available facilities
and details of skilled workmen to be submitted along with the application.
9. The suppliers will not be paid with cash advances.
10. Application for registration should be self-prepared as per the given format and
should be forwarded along with the certified copy of the Business Registration
Certificate, VAT Registration Certificate and Non Refundable Fee (Money
order should be written in favor of Deputy Chief Secretary – Finance encashable
at the Trincomalee Post Office) to the “Secretary, Ministry of Infrastructure
Development, Northern Provincial Council, AB Complex, Kanniya Road,
Varothayanagar Trincomalee”, on or before 15th December 2010. All
application should be sent under registered cover clearly marked
“REGISTRATION OF SUPPLIERS FOR THE YEAR 2011” on the top left
hand corner of the envelop.
11. Duly perfected application for register each sub item should be accompanied by a
Non Refundable Fee of RS.250/= payable by Money Order for each sub item
of goods/service to be drawn in favor of “Deputy Chief Secretary –Finance,
Northern Provincial Council” and encashable at Trincomalee Post Office. If
registration is sought for supply of more than one sub item a separate application
should be sent for each such sub item and should pay a non refundable fee of
RS.250/= for each item.
12. Application received after 15th December 2010 will be rejected.
