ABSTRACT

The main purpose of this study attempted to determine which domain of work

context and social support climate best influences organizational resilience among

librarians. The research was done through non-experimental quantitative research

design utilizing descriptive-correlational technique using Mean, Pearson r and

Regression analysis as statistical tools. The sample of this study was generated

through universal sampling technique with 141 librarians from various academic,

private, public and school libraries in Davao City as respondents. The research used

an adopted questionnaire that was modified to suit the current study. The study

revealed a very high work context and social support climate among librarians in

terms of work autonomy, task variety, feedback from job, social support, and

organizational identification, while knowledge sharing is high. The organizational

resilience among librarians is very high in terms of organizational adaptation and

organizational competitiveness, while organizational value is high. From the result

of the study, it was found out that there is a significant relationship between the work

context and social support climate and organizational resilience. Among the

indicators of work context and social support climate, the feedback from job as the

domain best influences organizational resilience among librarians.
