Q. No. 1 You have learn in Unit 1 of your textbook, how to use Simple Present Tense for
talking about one’s habits/routine. Write the correct form of verb.
Ans: Simple Present Tense:

i. I usually go to school at 8am.

iv. Ali works every day.
v. He always tells us funny stories.
vi. She never helps me in the kitchen.

My father name is Malik Ali. He is 45 years old. His height is five feet and ten inches. He is well
built and strong. He has a fair complexion with round face. He has brown hair and black eyes. He is
well-dressed and elegant. He has a graceful personality. He has a polite and pleasant nature. In habits
and manners he is quite gentle. He is loving and caring. He is really a great father. He is very kind to
us. He works in a big firm. He is a practical man. He is very regular and honest to his work. He is
generous and always ready to help others. He loves us a lot. We are proud of our great father.
Q. No. 7 We know that intended meaning of a text cannot be conveyed without
appropriate punctuation marks. Place the missing punctuation marks in the following

Ans. The article is about the tragic disaster of the most famous cruise ship Titanic that sank in the
North Atlantic on April 15, 1912.
ii. Who will be the possible readers of the article?
Ans. Everybody who is interested in reading about adventure will read this article.
iii. Write down the gist of the article in two lines.
Ans. Gist of the article:
The RMS Titanic sank in the North Atlantic on April 15, 1912, during its first voyage
carrying 2435 people on board. Over 1500 people lost their lives while 710 survived. The ship’s
wreck was found on Sep 1, 1985, about 2.5 miles deep in the Ocean.
iv. Suggest a suitable title for the article.
Ans: Suitable title: The Disaster of Titanic"
v. What message did you get from it?
Ans: The message it gives is that man proposes and God disposes - Many thought Titanic was
unsinkable, but might forces of nature smashed it away.
