Finance Minister, Tito Mboweni, delivered his first Budget Speech in Parliament – Cape Town on the
20th February 2019. The minister announced that government has allocated R481.6 million to the
Small Enterprise Development Agency. The fund is allocated to empower and expand small business
incubation programme in South Africa.
The Small Business Development Agency has been mandated to empower small business and to
come up with a clear frame work on how the fund will be used and managed to ensure it impacts the
length and breath of South African entrepreneurs who are deserving of the opportunity hopefully a
