How to upload a photo to your Instagram feed

most basic, eight-step guide to uploading a picture to your Instagram.

Items you need

1. Instagram account
2. Instagram application
3. Photo you wish to upload
4. Smart phone

Step one-
Open the Instagram app, make sure you are logged on to your Instagram account. You can tell
it’s your account by your profile picture circle in the bottom right hand side of your screen.

Step two-
Look at the tool menu at the bottom of your screen has a house icon, a search glass, and plus
sign, a heart, and your profile icon. Select the plus sign to begin adding a photo to your feed.
Step three-
Choose which photo you wish to upload, if it doesn’t immediately pop up, swipe up to scroll
through your camera roll to find the perfect picture. After you found the one, click it.

Step four-
After you have selected the photo you want, you now need to crop it. Begin to pinch the screen
to zoom out, or open your fingers (reverse pinch) to zoom in. If you like the way the photo is
initially set up then continue to the next step.

Step five-
Click the “next” button in the upper right-hand corner.
Step six-
Swipe through the optional edits, if you wish to add one. Otherwise, click “next” again.

Step seven-
Type in a caption where it says, “write a cation”.
Step eight-
Click “share” in the upper right-hand corner.
