MORO YOUTH PEACE CAMP -BATCH 8

General Information for the Participants of


8th Moro Youth Peace Camp

OBJECTIVES:

1. To provide an avenue for the Bangsamoro Youth to converge, organize foster unity and build good
working relationships among themselves;

2. To impart and explore peace initiatives in support of the new governance of BARMM;

3. To advance the youth agenda in the BARMM; and

4. To encourage teamwork in preventing violent extremism.

Date and Venue

The 8th Moro Youth Peace Camp will be held on MARCH 8-11, 2019 (FRIDAY to MONDAY) at
Bangsamoro Leadership and Management Institute (BLMI), Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Must be 18-25 years of age

*Willing and able to participate in all programs and activities.

* Eager to contribute in sustaining the gains of the Peace Process.

*Payment of 500php Commitment Fee.

Social Exposures will be held at the following, but not limited to:

Camp Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao


Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Grand Mosque,
BTA Bangsamoro Parliament O ce, ORG Compound, Cotabato City
Transportation

The organizer will not shoulder transportation of campers who are outside Marawi City.
However, the organizer can provide a free ride for campers from Marawi City and some
municipalities of Lanao del Sur. Participants from the municipalities of 2nd district of Lanao del
Sur shall be picked-up along the highway en route Sultan Kudarat.
Vehicles to be used during social exposures will be provided by the organizer.

Commitment Fee

Accepted campers should pay ₱500.00 ( ve hundred pesos) as their commitment fee. The
amount will defray expenses for food, camp/training materials, t-shirt, transportation on social
exposure, among others. You can pay your commitment fee though Palawan Express

Registration

Registration will start at 1:00 PM on the rst day of the program at BLMI, Sultan Kudarat,
Maguindanao. Training kits will be distributed at the registration area. Campers are encouraged
to register their name everyday on the attendance sheet. Only campers who completed the four-
day camping will be quali ed to have a certi cate of participation.

Accommodation

There are two dormitory type rooms at BLMI. One is for the male campers while the other is for
female campers. Single mattresses are on a twin-sharing.

Meals

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon snacks are inclusive of your ₱500.00
commitment fee. However meals to be prepared by the organizers are not the typical hotel and
restaurant food on the previous trainings and seminars the campers have attended. Campers
might also be served with native delicacies or Bangsamoro merienda during snack times.
Attire

All campers are advised to wear modest clothes. Campers may bring their jacket/warmer since
lecture room and bedrooms at BLMI is air conditioned. However be advised that typically,
weather in Sultan Kudarat and Cotabato City is at 24°C – 39°C.
Program includes camping where campers are expected to wear rubber shoes and sporty
clothes.

1. To provide an avenue for the Bangsamoro Youth to converge, organize foster unity and build good
working relationships among themselves;

Bangsamoro Leadership and Management Institute (BLMI), Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Must be 18-25 years of age

*Willing and able to participate in all programs and activities.

* Eager to contribute in sustaining the gains of the Peace Process.

*Payment of 500php Commitment Fee.

Social Exposures will be held at the following, but not limited to:
